Diversity in the workplace!
Because so many of my coworkers are not from the area or state… or country… Simon a cube neighbor of mine and I decided to create a “Where are you from?” map. People can interpret it any way they like… where they live now, where they came from, where they were born… however they like and put pins with their names on the map. It’s a tactile version of Google’s “My Maps” feature.
Our map filled up fast… after one day, we all think India will disappear from the map soon and just be names!
Represent’in Buffalo! Already had 3 people ask if I was Canadian :[
Getty Villa!
We went to the Getty Villa in Malibu for memorial day and it was beautiful. It was so pretty. The flowers and gardens and fountains were awesome. I took a whole bunch of photos and put a bunch of them in the photo gallery.
Looks like the Getty Villa will be booked thru the rest of summer.
Street Art Festival
Went to Santa Clarita’s street art festival today with Josh. It was really cool. Lots of art stands, with jewelery, paintings, photography, crafts, etc., live music, some bungee rides, jump houses etc. And then there’s a bunch of squares taped off in a black top parking lot and a artists register a month in advance to draw whatever they want in their square and they’re sponsered by local businesses.

I’m definitely going to sign up to do one next year. Gotta work up my chalk/charcoal skills… I used to be pretty good at pencil portraits with blending, shading etc. so I think I could pull it off.
