LA public transport
So i rode LA public transportation for the first time this week (not counting the Van Nuys FlyAway buses to the airport). I had to go down to the LA convention center on Thursday for this awesome Photoshop seminar work sent me to. The famous photoshop author/guru/photographer Scott Kelby led it so there were over 1100 people there! It was mostly photo stuff so it wasn’t exactly related to my job, but definitely related to my interest in photography
The course was very fast paced, which was awesome and no questions were allowed during the seminar, only during breaks and at the end which was a good call, it didn’t slow the rest of us down.
So yea, I took the antelope valley metrolink train down to LA Union station (~1 hr ride) and then the metro rail (subway) to the convention center. It wasn’t bad at all. I slept on the metrolink train. It was much cleaner than I had anticipated and there were mostly commuters/suits on the trains. Cost me $16 total. Parking at the convention center was $12 and with gas and stress.. that adds up to more than $16! I’d take the train again to go downtown, because driving there is terrible.
Can’t wait to visit Tracey in Philly for our bday, 2 more weeks!
